get it for cheap

We were standing in an aisle in Jewel-Osco; my mom was loading our groceries on the conveyor belt and I, pretending to help, was flipping through a copy of People magazine. I paused at the pages dedicated to the "Hottest Model-Off-Duty Style," my eyes wide enthusiasm over Bella Hadid's 70's-esque attire.

I hungrily scanned the article for where I could get my hands on a jacket like the one Bella had styled so effortlessly with her crop-top and jeans.
To my horror, the retail price for the Sies Marjan shearling-lined jacket was $2,990!
I'm usually not too wary about over-priced clothes, especially if it's good quality and would last me a long time, but I have to take a hard pass on spending almost $3000 on a jacket, no matter how stunning of an addition it would be to my closet.
But, thankfully, there are plenty of ways to achieve a high fashion look without draining your bank account. My personal favorite? Thrift shopping!
A first glance into any second-hand shop may be a little disappointing in comparison to your local Neiman Marcus, but there are endless opportunities for you to find a really unique piece, especially as many of the clothes are vintage, which is a hot trend lately, or are no longer available to buy in any department store. Not to mention the reasonable prices!
Personally, I like to research the second-hand shops near me that carry designer items for much cheaper then their original price. Though the prices still may be in the hundreds, you'll be getting quite a bang for you buck.

Or you can try your luck at a Goodwill or other such thrift stores where most of the prices range from $4 to $20. Though it may take a couple trips before you find an article of clothing that fits your haute couture style, perseverance pays off and you could end up with a designer piece for less than $10!
The style of Tommy Hilfiger jeans that I'm sporting in this picture originally retails for $139.50, which honestly is quite decent, however, the pair I found at my local Goodwill? Only $6.00.
